Rolex’s enduring relationship with golf began in 1967, sealed by a gentleman’s handshake with Arnold Palmer, and centred on an association with the trio of Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player. Known as The Big Three, they popularized the sport worldwide, enabling the brand’s partnership with the game to flourish and achieve global reach. Since then, Rolex has maintained a special relationship with the most remarkable golfers. I always strive for excellence in everything I do. Golf is a game of fine margins and inches can make a huge difference so as professionals, we are always trying to get a little bit better.

The men’s majors

Rolex supports the four men’s majors, concluding each year in the United Kingdom, the birthplace of golf. Winning a major is a towering achievement. For these elite athletes, it is the reward for years of hard work and the culmination of their quest for excellence. At the highest level of the sport, these championships are where the game’s age-old traditions are perpetuated on both sides of the Atlantic.

The women’s majors

Since 1980, Rolex has been a partner of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), serving as its Official Timekeeper. Our brand also sponsors the Rolex LPGA Awards, which recognize the best players on its tour, as well as the Rolex Women’s World Rankings. On the courses of the five women’s majors, all supported by Rolex, the talent of these exceptional golfers shines through.
